  HI as many of you know I am a born in baptized and in good standing, but mentally out. When I was a kid it was always you will die soon and terrible pictures of horrid destruction. Then for a number of years not so much. Now it seems that it is being ramped up again. I think it is a desperate attempt to hang on to the ones they have left by scaring the crap out of them . Also when I was a kid the paradise book was all we had for kids and it scared me to death with its illustrations. A recent point By Cedars reinforced this when he discussed a new article about the birds being summoned to eat the flesh of those that don't make it through the big A and the scary birds of prey picture not good for kids. I have lived this over and over in my lifetime with them.

  I feel they are getting desperate and will do anything to hang on to those they have. Let me know what you think.

  So I got engaged...

  ...to my boyfriend, we're going to have one of those weddings ('gay' weddings to the straights).. although my jw family know i'm gay, and not going to meetings, only one of my sisters has sussed the situation.

  but i think after 3 years it's about time i told them.

  especially if sometime in the future i'll turn up with a (gay) wedding ring.

  Hi belbab Great post I don't know if he will see it but those that really count will. I am a former long time elder and know where you are coming from. Jeez Splane sounds like the guy I once cared a lot for Wes Benner when he disfellowshipped Ray Franz. A Holes all of them . But in some sad way I feel very sorry for them TOO. kEEP ON KEEPIN ON BELBAB YOU ARE A GREAT EXAMPLE!

  Sorry having been an Elder for over 40 years I can confirm that all judicial hearings are guided by B S and nothing more. I have seen so much coverd up lied about etc. One person for instance came in lied her ass off that she had stopped smoking and adultery. She was welcomed with open arms back. Years later she divulged to me that she had lied about the whole thing so like I say all bull shit.
